Retreat booking overview
We want you to feel clear and confident about what you are signing up for, both emotionally and financially. This is a significant investment in your wellbeing and development, and places are limited, so we ask you to read the summary below before booking.
Booking and deposit
To secure your place you pay a deposit. Once this is received, we book your first individual mapping session, where we look at your history, current situation and goals, and make sure this retreat format is a safe and helpful option for you.
After your first mapping session, the deposit is non-refundable, except where we both agree that the retreat is not clinically suitable for you. In that situation, you will receive 50% of your deposit back, and we will help you think about more appropriate services.
Payments, balance and refunds
Payment in full is due 10 weeks before travel.
Because we hold your place, commit to accommodation and catering, and build a tailored programme around the group, our refund structure is as follows:
More than 10 weeks before travel: your deposit is non-refundable, but any additional payments are refunded.
Between 10 and 8 weeks before travel: your deposit is non-refundable, and up to 50% of the remaining balance may be refunded.
Within 8 weeks of travel: all payments are non-refundable.
We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance that covers cancellation, curtailment, illness and travel disruption, so that you are protected if something unexpected happens.
Travel and insurance
You are responsible for booking and paying for your own flights. For this retreat, you will need to arrive in Spain on 16 May (full arrival details are sent in your joining information).
You must also have your own health or medical insurance that is valid for travel in Spain, including emergency treatment and repatriation. We cannot accept responsibility for flight delays, cancellations or other travel issues, so please make sure your insurance covers these.
Suitability and safety
This is an intensive therapeutic and coaching retreat, not a crisis unit, hospital or rehab programme. For your safety and the safety of others, the retreat is not suitable if you:
Are currently at high risk of harming yourself or others
Need 24/7 medical or psychiatric monitoring
Are in active drug or alcohol rehabilitation, or seeking a detox
Have a severe eating disorder, psychosis or another condition that is not currently stable with treatment
Have been advised by your treating team that an intensive retreat would not be safe for you
You agree to be honest about your mental and physical health, and to update us if anything significant changes between booking and travel. If during the mapping process we jointly decide the retreat is not appropriate, you will not attend and 50% of your deposit will be returned.
Behaviour and substance use
This is a therapeutic, trauma-informed space. To protect everyone’s safety and dignity:
Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited
Threatening, abusive, harassing or discriminatory behaviour towards staff or other guests will not be tolerated
If you use illegal drugs, or seriously threaten or abuse staff or other guests, you may be asked to leave the retreat immediately with no refund.
Any use of alcohol, if permitted, needs to be light and mindful and must not interfere with your safety or the experience of others.
Physical activities and yoga
Gentle movement, yoga and time in the pool are offered as part of the retreat, but they are optional and can be adapted to different levels of fitness and ability. You are responsible for working within your own limits and letting us know about any injuries, health conditions or mobility needs.
You take part in physical activities at your own risk, and we cannot be held liable for injuries that occur if you do not follow guidance or work beyond what feels safe for your body.
Changes or cancellation by us
Very occasionally, we may need to make changes to the programme or staff, or cancel the retreat altogether (for example, due to low numbers, illness or major travel disruption). If we cancel the retreat, you will be offered alternative dates where possible, or a refund of fees paid, excluding any individual clinical sessions already delivered before the retreat.
We are not liable for your flights or other travel costs, which is another reason why comprehensive travel insurance is essential. Please be assured that we very much look forward to welcoming you, so it would take a lot for us to even consider cancelling and the dates are firmly locked in.
